Tal Ben-Shahar (born in 1970) is an American and Israeli writer and lecturer, recognized as one of the leading exponents of positive psychology. He earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Psychology at Harvard University, where he also obtained his PhD in Organizational Behavior in 2004.

At Harvard, Ben-Shahar taught the university's most popular course, Positive Psychology, with more than 1,400 students per semester. His focus is on the science of happiness, resilience, and positive leadership. He is co-founder of the Happiness Studies Academy and Potentialife, an organization dedicated to leadership development.

He has written several books, including Happier, The Pursuit of Happiness, and Choose the Life You Want, translated into multiple languages. In his works, he highlights the importance of accepting our emotions, practicing gratitude, taking care of our physical health, and fostering meaningful interpersonal relationships. Ben-Shahar has been a speaker at various organizations and universities, sharing his vision on how to achieve a full and satisfying life.
