This novel stands out for its focus on indigenous women from the Andean region, exploring their lives, struggles, and resistances in a context of marginalization and structural violence. The author, through her narrative, seeks to give voice to these women, highlighting their strength and resilience in the face of adversities.

In Trenza de tierra, Arguedas presents a story that intertwines the lives of several women, showing their experiences and perspectives in a world that often silences them.
