No hay psicoanalisis sin el cuerpo.
Sigmund Freud, durante toda su trayectoria, no dejó de apuntar nunca al cuerpo enlazado al alma. Supo sostener un vivo interés por el cuerpo manteniendo en el horizonte la disciplina original que inauguraba, sin por ello alejarse un ápice de su soporte material. Tal y como puede verificarse a lo largo de su obra, el psicoanálisis no es sin el cuerpo.
Los trece ensayos que se incluyen en este libro transitan caminos en los que se localizan y exploran interrogantes que conciernen al cuerpo del ser hablante en relación, no solo con la experiencia que un psicoanálisis puede proveer, sino, también, al goce inefable que lo atraviesa.
Así, bajo perspectivas diferentes y acentuando el peso en distintos lugares, podremos comprobar cómo el cuerpo y sus embrollos terminan siempre por converger en un punto que, con la única excepción del suicidio, no puede ser omitido ya que —por formar parte nodal de la estructura misma que le brinda soporte— pretender ignorarlo sólo acrecentaría sus efectos.
