Atendiendo a las fuentes (23) que nos han transmitido datos biográficos de Kung-tsé, podemos afirmar que el futuro gran sabio de China nació el día 21 del décimo mes del año 522 a. C. o del año 551 a. C. (lo que coincidiría con el hecho de que, ya mayor, se entrevisto con Lao-tsñe, mientras ocurría el eclipse solar del 518a. C. ). Su ciudad natal fue Kuo-li, cerca de la pequeña localidad de Tsou, perteneciene al distrito de Chang ping. El territorio de la ciudad natal de Kung.tsé estaba bajo la jurisdicción del duque de Hsiang, que abarca todo el estado de Lu, a orillas del mar de la China, entre los ríos Amarillo y Huai. Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC) was a Chinese philosopher, politician, and teacher, considered one of the most influential figures in Eastern civilization.
