Timothy Tackett es un historiador estadounidense nacido en 1945, especializado en la Revolución Francesa. Obtuvo su doctorado en Historia por la Universidad de Stanford en 1973 y ha sido profesor en la Universidad de California, Irvine, donde se desempeñó como profesor emérito en el Departamento de Historia.
