Julio Cortázar nace en Ixelles, Bélgica, el 26 de agosto de 1914. Cuatro años después la familia regresa a la Argentina. Este será su país. Aquí se forma como maestro normal, profesor de literatura y traductor público de inglés y francés. En 1951 se muda definitivamente a Francia aunque de alguna manera, nunca abandona el país. Es en Argentina en donde aparecen las primeras ediciones de casi toda su obra, a lo largo de toda su vida. Sigue siempre cerca de su ciudad, Buenos Aires, comprometido emocional, literaria y políticamente.En París, su segundo hogar, escribe la mayor parte de su obra literaria. Pero Cuba y Nicaragia, Chile y Latinoamérica toda, son también su tierra.El 12 de febrero de 1984, a los 69 años, muere en París como consecuencia de una leucemia. Su magnífica producción literaria, su genuino compromiso político y su honestidad intelectual, marcan a sus lectores generación tras generación.

Lucio Aquilanti (Buenos Aires, 1969) is an antiquarian bookseller, bibliophile, and Argentine collector, known for having assembled the most complete collection of first editions and documents related to Julio Cortázar. For 27 years, he gathered more than 800 pieces, including books, magazines, translations, records, and manuscripts, which in 2014 were acquired by the National Library of Argentina. Currently, he runs the Aquilanti & Fernández Blanco bookstore, specialized in rare and old books, located in the Balvanera neighborhood, Buenos Aires.

Aquilanti is co-author, along with Federico Barea, of Todo Cortázar. Bio-bibliography (2014), a reference work that exhaustively compiles the publications and collaborations of the author of Hopscotch. His work falls within the genre of bibliographic non-fiction, with a documentary and literary approach. Additionally, he has researched the history of printing in the Jesuit missions and in America, and is currently preparing a work on Antonio Di Benedetto.

Federico Barea (Buenos Aires, 1982) is an Argentine researcher and writer specialized in the work of Julio Cortázar. His approach combines literary analysis with meticulous bibliographic work, which has allowed him to significantly contribute to the study of the author of Hopscotch. He is co-author, along with Lucio Aquilanti, of Everything Cortázar: Bio-bibliography (2014), an exhaustive work that compiles the publications and collaborations of Cortázar.
