Яна складаецца з трох раздзелаў "Валачобныя песні", "Крутухі, хараводы, пахадушкі", "Лірычныя песні". Кожны з раздзелаў мае грунтоўны этнамузыкалагічны каментар на трох мовах беларускай, рускай і ангельскай. Расшыфроўкі экспедыцыйных гутарак і песенна-паэтычных тэкстаў песень выкананыя на мясцовай гаворцы старавераў. У зборніку змешчаны 45 нотных і тэкставых транскрыпцый народных песень (публікуюцца ўпершыню), кожную з якіх можна паслухаць у аўтэнтычным выкананні. Самы ранні аўдыязапіс датуецца 1963 годам, а самая старая спявачка, голас якой можна пачуць у выданні - 1890-х гадоў нараджэння. Кніга праілюстравана фотаздымкамі, сабранымі альбо зробленымі падчас фальклорна-этнаграфічных экспедыцый.The book results from a long-term study of the musical folklore of the Old Believers of the Western Padźvińnie region of Belarus. It consists of three sections: Volačobnyja peśniKrutucha, karahody, pachaduskiLyric songs.Each section has a thorough ethnomusicological commentary in three languages: Belarusian, Russian and English. The transcriptions of interviews and texts of songs are made in the local Old Believers' dialect. The collection contains 45 musical and text transcriptions of folk songs (published for the first time); an audio recording of the authentic performance of each song supplements the book. The earliest audio recording dates from 1963, and the oldest singer whose voice can be heard in the publication was born in the 1890s. The book is illustrated with photographs collected or taken during folklore and ethnographic expeditions.
