Synopsis "1800"

In 1800 America, death was an all-too-easy solution! This is an American historical odyssey beyond anything you've ever read. Full of action, suspense, human frailties, unexpected loyalties and strengths, even a murder trial. And underlying it all, an undaunted love affair that spans half the continent of America, starting in late eighteenth century Philadelphia and reaching out to New Orleans, and the perilous wilderness of the Louisiana territory. You will even go to sea - shanghaied onto a Baltimore packet bound for the Maldives and beyond, where two men, one penniless, one wealthy, learn that their destinies will be bound forever. '1800' is rich with colorful characters, doctors and lawyers, sailors, knaves and scoundrels, explorers and adventurers, and political leaders, from an honest but hesitant Thomas Jefferson torn between politics and friendship, to the scandalous Aaron Burr, who will take any advantage. '1800' is a story to take us back to our beginnings as a nation, to make us laugh and weep, dream and remember.
