I'm breathing heavily; my blood pressure is progressing higher and higher at a rapid rate. I close my eyes and try to find my happy place. I am in the hospital, seeing my daughter for the first time; I remember smiling when my brother said, she has your eyes..." He had wanted to be a traveling poet - the kind that hung around in coffee shops, chain-smoked and wore a beret. God had greater, more humbling plans.
