Synopsis "Adherencia a Tratamiento Retroviral: Influencia de Factores Personales (in Spanish)"

El objetivo fue describir la influencia de los factores personales en la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral en personas con VIH/SIDA atendidas en la Asociación Trébol (Salta, Argentina). Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo y transversal mediante entrevistas y cuestionario semiestructurado con apartados sociodemográfico, test de adherencia, factores y comportamiento virológico e inmunológico. La muestra estuvo integrada por 21 pacientes. La edad osciló entre 22 y 53 años (media 37,5 10,19), con predominio masculino (86%) y nivel educativo secundario completo (48%). El 28% presentó adherencia adecuada y el 29% no adherencia; la principal causa fue el olvido de la medicación. El 57% interrumpió 1-2 días completos el tratamiento y el 62% refirió haber recibido información adecuada sobre la importancia de la adherencia. No se hallaron asociaciones significativas con factores sociodemográficos, clínicos ni con consumo de alcohol y drogas. Se concluye que menos de la mitad de los pacientes son adherentes, que el estigma social y la soledad impactan negativamente y que el olvido y el malestar emocional constituyen barreras relevantes.
