With her husband, Bill Warlick, she served as a Presbyterian mission worker based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (renamed Zaire in 1971) and later in Zimbabwe, living out her calling in a number of African countries. Nancy became a witness before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to the crisis unfolding in Zaire.
