Synopsis "Andreasgasser (in German)"

In der Mariahilferstra e in Wien an der Ecke zur Andreasgasse steht ein hilfloser, alter Mann. Irgendwann wird man auf ihn aufmerksam, er wird zuerst in ein Spital und dann in ein Altersheim eingeliefert. Einerseits kann er wegen fortgeschrittener Demenz keine Angaben über sich machen, andererseits finden sich in seiner Tasche und seinem Koffer zwar ein namhafter Geldbetrag und fünf Ölbilder aber nichts, was auf seine Identität hinweist. In der Pflegestation des Altersheimes versuchen die Ärztin, die Oberschwester und ein Psychotherapeut aus den wenigen Äu erungen des Patienten und den fünf Bildern, die offenbar einen Bezug auf das Leben des Mannes haben, seine Herkunft und Identität zu ermitteln. Diese Zusammenarbeit bleibt nicht auf das berufliche Interesse beschränkt. Parallel dazu lernt der Leser den oft verschlungenen Lebensweg des Mannes kennen ...
