Miguel Ángel Ruiz, also known as Don Miguel Ruiz (1952) is a Mexican author, writer, and speaker on spiritualist or neo-shamanic topics influenced by the Peruvian Carlos Castañeda.

His most influential work is The Four Agreements. It was published in 1997 and has sold about 4 million copies.1 It was featured on the Oprah television show.2

The Four Agreements are:

3) Don't make assumptions.
4) Always do your best.
