Samantha Strong, adorable osa parda, ciudadana ejemplar y asesina en serie del pueblo de ensueño Woodbrook solo tiene una norma: “no asesines a tus vecinos”. Al fin y al cabo, hay un montón de posibles víctimas en la ciudad al otro lado del bosque, y cuando te has esforzado tanto como Sam por conseguir una vida acogedora y un negocio próspero, rodeada de amables vecinos animales y del aroma de los cedros y las tartas de manzana, lo último que te interesa es perturbar la paz. Horvath ha demostrado con esta obra una habilidad admirable para acoplar las escenas más macabras con una estética propia de las fábulas infantiles. El guion, dotado de ironía y sentido del humor, permite profundizar en la esencia de la condición humana a través de sus diferentes capas.
