Daniel Wallace is an American writer and illustrator born in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1959. He is known for his novel "Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions" (1998), adapted into a film by Tim Burton in 2003. His other works include "Ray in Reverse" (2000), "The Watermelon King" (2003), and "Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician" (2007).
