Matteo Scalera es un dibujante e ilustrador italiano de cómic, reconocido por un estilo visual potente, cinético y profundamente atmosférico. Su trabajo se distingue por el uso expresivo del color, composiciones dinámicas y una energía casi física en la acción, capaz de transmitir caos, velocidad y tensión emocional sin necesidad de subrayados narrativos. Scalera dibuja como quien empuja la página al límite: no decora, impacta.

Es especialmente conocido por su labor como artista en Black Science, junto al guionista Rick Remender, una serie de ciencia ficción que se volvió referencia por su ambición visual y narrativa.
