Synopsis "Blue For You"

A small boy is torn from certain death at the hands of rioters as Partition is imposed in India. He grows up in post-war Yorkshire. Sent to a minor public school he struggles to find his way amid the racism rife in 1960s England. A talented amateur cricketer and conscientious student, he carves out a successful career at the bar. Reunited with an old schoolfriend he finds love and friendship, only to lose his greatest love to cancer. Cast adrift he struggles to make a new life. Fate intervenes when he meets someone from his friend's past, but there seems no future for them. He resolves to return to his adopted Yorkshire roots but, just as he thinks he has found a new life, someone crashes back into his world in desperate need of help...
