Synopsis "Body Count"

On a beautiful suburban side street, while on his way to school, 9 year old Ethan hears the loud screeching of a car's tires. With the torment of losing a child too much to bear, Ethan's parents fall into a downward spiral, a spiral he is forced to watch, a spiral infested with drugs and alcohol. But most importantly, a spiral that strips away their hunger for success so badly that it drives them from the suburbs back to the ghetto they'd worked so hard to escape. Ethan, a child who has never known a life outside the safety of the suburbs, now finds himself living in one of Cleveland's most heartless ghettos. Unequipped for what he's facing, he quickly becomes the neighborhood outcast; the butt of everyone's jokes, the object of everyone's bullying. But above all, the molested and abused object of his parents' frustration over losing their daughter. Now 14, Ethan's patience has grown paper thin. The pain, both physical and emotional, has become too much to take. Sick of the pain being inflicted on him, he gets hold of his father's gun and makes a terrifying decision...
