Akira Toriyama (鳥とり山やま明あきら) Nagoya 1955 - 2024 is a renowned Japanese mangaka, creator of Dragon Ball, one of the most influential series in the history of manga and anime. Born on April 5, 1955 in Nagoya, Japan, he began his career in the 70s, achieving his first success with Dr. Slump (1980).
