Darüber hinaus betätigte er sich zeitweise in der politischen Führung des Bauamtes, wo er für eine Ausbeutung menschlicher Arbeitskraft verantwortlich wurde. Nach dem "Dritten Reich" gelang es ihm bald, seine gesellschaftliche Position wieder einzunehmen.
