Synopsis "Bus Trip"

BUS TRIP tells the story of Melvin Thomas, who is 17 years-old in the summer of 1969. Like most teenagers his mind is full of anticipation about entering his senior year of high school, and the fun things he's expecting to happen, like class trips, courting girls, purchasing a car, graduating and going to college, and the further accomplishments and joys the experience will bring. But that all changes in an instant, when he accidentally becomes involved in a crime. Knowing that he has now become the target of two very powerful adversaries, the police whose intent is to send him to prison, and criminals who want to kill him, he runs away from his home and his life as he knew it. He's scared, and on the run, A FUGITVE. His path of escape takes him on an odyssey-like journey, where along the way he meets people who reveal to him their own struggles for survival. While all the while keeping his own ordeal secret, for fear that revealing such will let the hunters find him. After moving around from city to city, he finally gets to a place where he feels safe. But then fate seeks him out and sends another threat to attack him. But this time he's in no position to run away. This time he must engage the enemy directly, face to face, win or lose.
