A young lady that wanted to find her way in this thing called life. Life wasn't good for her growing up. She believes in God and she knows what's best for her but unfortunately, she finds herself on a wrong path. She finds herself growing up fast and even regretting her very being. Shaquilla, often suffered from depression at an early age and searched for love in the streets, a father figure, family, and thought she finally found it (so she thought). Quickly realizing that finding love in the streets and others, only screwed her over in the end. Instead, at a young age, she found sex, lies, and abuse. Shaquilla, looked towards older men (resembling a father figure) for love. Continuously meeting men, after men, with similar characteristics and personalities; and the deeper the pain, the more she would internalize it. Known to be a talkative young lady, she now became very quiet. Which soon transition into living a façade with a smile but internally unhappy. With a glimpse of hope, on this day she met prince charming, unaware that she was really entering the devil's den. Her one piece of happiness was only momentarily but willing to sacrifice her joy in the effort to please the father of her children. Displeased and disappointed, this once prince charming who said, "I Love You", was now striking her physically and mentally. So often, that she started to believe everything that he said about her verbatim. Ashamed, she began to close off her friends and family in silence. Now, a prisoner to her current circumstances and in fear of getting physically abused (as if she was a child) if she spoke a word. Afraid, she continued to keep quiet. Mustering up a bit of courage, Shaquilla left her abuser. A decision that allowed her to become free like an eagle and to soar with no fear. Breaking out of the Caged like a butterfly whose voice was silenced. But now she is #UnCaged
