As the actors assemble to perform tonight's episode, they learn that the show has mysteriously gotten the axe. But before they can leave the studio, well-known mobster Monty Navoli enters. He has his own reasons for keeping tonight's installment on the air...an episode that has no script. Now the six actors must ad lib their way through an entire story-at gunpoint! Stage fright, misplaced sound effects, a soused lead actress, a character who keeps returning from the dead and other disasters befall the troupe, who must give the performance of their lives...or else! The award-winning farce "Cancelled" has been a hit with community theater groups and high schools in both the US and UK.
