A few short years after Celery Flats, Michigan was settled it became known as Celery City. Which is a usual position for her as she makes her own wine - lots of it! Several deaths of key characters are featured in this book. The second part of the book features Chloe, blind since her early childhood, that becomes entangled with three separate men, her husband Harold, Ian, and Robert - all scoundrels. Finally she meets an upstanding store keeper, Paul.Willy Madison, Chloe and Harold's son, married the keeper of a brothel in Chicago. He attended the University Medical School but was charged with a murder he did not commit. Eventually Willy and his wife make it to Celery City to begin a life together.
