Dos primos viajan de Francia a Argelia para unirse a un regimiento francés. En el barco, hacen amistad con Clovis Dardentor, quien viaja con los Désirandelle para verificar el matrimonio del distraído Agathocle con la hermosa y refinada Louisea Elissane. Jules Verne was a prolific French author who is considered one of the fathers of science fiction, alongside the English H. G. Wells. He began by writing some theatrical plays and published several short stories and scientific articles.
