El presente libro contiene una selección de cuentos del concurso “John Maxwell Coetzee” creado en el marco del ciclo La Ciudad y las Palabras del Doctorado de Arquitectura de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y que desde el año 2015 ha congregado a miles de estudiantes de colegios privados, subvencionados y municipales de todo Chile. El libro contiene cuatro presentaciones de John Coetzee, Premio Nobel de Literatura 2003, que nos hablan de Chile, de su tierra, de su gente y de sus niños. La relación entre el insigne escritor y estos pequeños aprendices hacen de este pequeño libro un tributo a la capacidad de la literatura para superar barreras y desafiar al destino.
