Elsewise, he wouldn't have been such easy pickings for those Crow Indians. Jack draws the line at being used as Crow bait as the Redskins try to use him to lure Bridger into a trap. Madder than a male timbercat up a tree, Jack takes it real personal. It's tough to keep a hard man down, and neither Crow nor critter can keep Jack from coming out on top with all his equipment in apple-pie order.
