Synopsis "Dark Love"

Is this new collection of poems pessimisstic, or chocolatey? Darkness can be evil, mysterious, unconscious, fertile, soothing, karmically tangled, or simply beyond human comprehension. Destructive romance, familial cruelty, ecological mayhem, and sudden grief are aspects of darkness we prefer to avoid. Lush eroticism, interspecies love, deep imagination, and multi-generational healing are aspects we invite. These 72 poems explore frightening and delightful aspects of darkness, with honesty, ingenuity, and craft. Many are written in free verse, while others probe with the precision of traditional and new poetic forms. Sprinkled throughout are images from the author's own paintings, drawings, and linocuts, adding a visual dimension to original inquiry.
