Synopsis "Darkest Before Dawn"

The season was changing rapidly to fall, Rachel wasn't completely alone, she had her dog Rusty and the two friends who she loved dearly; often she would find herself reflecting on how she was forced to leave all she had known in New York behind and start a new life in Colorado.She had always been a city girl and so this new life would take some getting used to.She had run for her life quite literally, but she never knew how safe she would be; no matter how far she ran.Her job as a columnist for the city papers was so far removed from the work she had done previously; but this afforded her anonymity and that is what she needed; Rachel had been careful to leave no trail or clues as to where she was. But she should have known better, Simon was nothing if not determined.After so long she believed that he couldn't hurt her anymore; but that was her undoing, she had become complacent and let her guard down.Life was never meant to be like this, her wedding day had been the happiest day of her life and she could see her future as clear as the stars in the sky.Unsure now if anyone could ever love her or even want to Rachel had to rebuild her life; she just hoped that one day she would be able to share her life with someone who truly loved her. Did that kind of man really exist? And if he did would he ever truly understand her past?
