In the small backwater town of Dresden Port, located within the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, three young men in their twenties lead fairly unremarkable lives, simply going through the often unfulfilling motions of their Monday to Friday jobs. However, when the weekend arrives, the trio band together to seek thrills by exploring abandoned locations in an effort to confirm or deny the endemic paranormal sightings and rumors that make up New Jersey's innate strangeness. When a weekend trip of delving into the unknown takes a bizarre twist, the trio find the mysteries, danger, and conspiracies awaiting them are no longer limited to their weekends. Forced to contend with new threats interfering in their day to day lives, what begins is the ultimate journey of the self, leading to never before conceived personal truths and the faintest inkling of what the reality they thought they knew is really about.
