Anyone who has had a traumatic childhood will find themselves crying when reading this poignant book where a father's love cannot be bought, bartered nor sold but at the end, a daughter's love cannot be destroyed no matter what. The narrative is bitterly funny in parts and excruciatingly sad in others. Overall, a fine debut by a new author.
