Zunächst werden die Historie und verschiedene Ansätze zum Archiv angesprochen. Im Anschlu daran werden die Arab Image Foundation (AIF) und deren Facetten vorgestellt. Dann wird anhand der Arbeitsweise der AIF geprüft, ob, und falls ja, welcher Ansatz des Archivs auf die AIF zutrifft.
