Synopsis "Drive: The Drum Set Method"

This is the second book in a series of three drum set books. The series contains over 600 examples, including 30 drum solos. There is something here for everyone, from beginners to advanced levels. The books gradually and logically progress, opening with very basic drum beats using quarter notes and eighth notes, advancing to all divisions of the beat in common time. Includes: crash cymbals, open/close hi-hat patterns, varying cymbal and hi-hat patterns, examples for "open hand" playing, and alternate sticking patterns. This consecutive book continues to progress the student, presenting a wider variety of drum beats and ending with 10 additional drum solos. As in the first book, these 10 drum solos are designed to test comprehension and practice of the material in the book. If the student has completed book one, there should be no problems continuing through this book. A real live teacher is always beneficial, however it is possible to continue independently. This book is example driven without long unnecessary explanations.
