Allan Kardec, born as Hippolyte Léon Denizard Rivail in 1804 in Lyon, France, was a prominent educator, philosopher, and writer, recognized as the founder of Spiritism. El libro en si, en cuanto a la impresión deja bastante que desear .El libro mide 22,9 cm de alto y 15 cm de ancho. La impresión de cada página es de 14 cm de alto x 10,2 cm ancho. La letra es muy pequeña y por lo tanto difícil de leer.
