Virginia es una chica de 17 años que, tras su triunfo absoluto en el torneo de Roland Garros, se convierte en la figura de prestigio mundial en el mundo del tenis. Pero, al mismo tiempo, vive un ambiente asfixiante a su alrededor. Ha perdido su libertad, su iniciativa. Conseguir una victoria parece ser lo único que le importa a su padre y a su entrenador. A Virginia le encanta el tenis, pero, ante todo, quiere ser ella misma, tomar sus propias decisiones, vivir como una chica de su edad, encontrar el amor. Por eso se retira a un pueblecito catalán, donde vive su abuela. Allí reflexiona sobre su futuro y vive hechos y situaciones absolutamente insospechados para ella. La consecuencia es el redescubrimiento de la amistad y el amor. Wimbledon está a la vuelta de la esquina. Pero hay que esperar a que ella, la nueva Virginia, decida sobre su participación.
