Synopsis "Faatouma Ardo (in French)"

Ce récit est une histoire de vengeance entre Faatouma Ardo et Boubou M'Barké. Orpheline et adoptée par son oncle qui décida alors de la marier à son fils Hammadi. Dans leur enfance, l'oncle proposa à Hammadi de choisir entre un cheval et Faatouma. Hammadi choisit Barawal, le cheval. Ce qui vexa profondément la petite Faatouma. Faatouma grandit, Hammadi tomba amoureux d'elle et la demanda en mariage. Mariée, Faatouma alors décida de prendre sa revanche. Elle décida de ne coucher avec lui que s'il tuait son cheval bienaimé. Hammadi aimait Faatouma, il aimai aussi l'équidé. Il resta ainsi dans le dilemme pendant six mois sans pouvoir se décider. Un certain Boubou M'Barké qui résidait dans un village lointain entendit la nouvelle. Il se rendit au village de Hammadi, tua Barawal, abusa de Faatouma puis retourna chez lui. Humiliée, Faatouma entreprit d'aller se venger de cet imposteur qui l'avait trompée et déshonorée. Après un long périple, elle finit par retrouver Boubou qu'elle tua et emporta son cheval et ses organes génitaux à Hammadi, demandant publiquement pardon à son mari pour le tort qu'elle lui avait fait. Allait-il lui pardonner ?
