This story is about identical twins, Fig and Zig. There was a time when children could use their imagination to turn a cardboard box into a fort or build a treehouse in a top-secret location for a secret club with exclusive members. The imaginary fort would be a territory with knights on horseback and honor to be defended. This pair are reminiscent of that long-lost creative ability. The treehouse would be in plain sight in the backyard, but to the kids it was like being in a faraway country. Ah yes, these are the days Fig and Zig are living. The brothers are constantly tapping into their creative spirit. Time and motion are their constant companions. Together they escape into endless summertime hours in their pursuit of play. This story is a day in the life of the pair. The various adventures and passing hours they share seem to last for an eternity. They use their combined past experiences and knowledge to express the real-time roles they create. Through it all, their escapades help them develop problem-solving and other critical skills. The pair combined are strong, but when they encounter Little E, their combined strength becomes iron. She is the final element needed in their creative development. The experiences they have will last a lifetime. The lessons they learn will last them throughout all of eternity. Sometimes the enduring message is hidden in plain sight and has to be realized through the sights and sounds of physical laws, which surround us. This is the message of the story: God loves you. Once the pair realizes the message is what the experience is all about, then the real adventure can begin. All of our abilities are God-given. We should learn and teach others to stay focused on truth, justice, and pursue the goodness of life.
