Die Arbeit befasst sich mit der "Geotektonischen Entwicklung der Rapale-Formationen". Die geologische und tektonische Entwicklung von Rapale ist das Ergebnis des Einflusses verschiedener ostafrikanischer Rift-Ereignisse, der Grevilianischen Orogenese, die vom Rapale-Gneis überlagert wird. Rapale ist durchzogen von fragilen Strukturen wie Verwerfungen, Diaklasen, Adern, Brüchen, duktilen Strukturen wie Boudins, einigen Lineationen, hochkörnigen metamorphen Strukturen wie Migmatiten (Neosomen und Paläosomen) und grabenartigen Störungssystemen. Diese Formationen haben eine räumliche Ausrichtung zwischen 179N und 250N (Nairuco-, T'tchotcho und Nanahe-Formationen), während sie sich im Fall von Muhitho bis zu 360N erstrecken. Die letztgenannten Formationen haben Ereignisse des Ostafrikanischen Grabens durchlaufen, und noch nicht identifizierte Ereignisse sind für die Modellierung des Reliefs und der räumlichen Ausrichtung der Formationen verantwortlich.
