Hollywood Movies on the Couch is the second in a series of books that analyzes Hollywood movies by Henry Kellerman, a psychologist/psychoanalyst. Fifteen films are dissected with analytical skill by placing the main characters on the couch to cast a different light on the screen story. The book is divided into three sections: Solos - where the main character of the story goes it alone, Duets - where two characters need to work out their problems together, and Trios - where there are three in a relationship, one of whom will be the key person on the couch.Included in the analysis are: Casablanca (Why does Rick really send Ilsa away?) and The Graduate (Is the main character in the story Mrs. Robinson or Benjamin?)
