Synopsis "Hulleys"

A pictorial account of driving for Hulleys of Baslow in the beautiful Peak District. This book shows just what it was like driving for a bus company that kept the Peak District connected.

For 104 years, Hulleys of Baslow, a family run bus company, served local residents and tourists in the Peak District, allowing them to stay connected while enjoying some amazing scenery along the way. Those who were lucky enough to drive the buses on these routes appreciated the picturesque views, with plenty of photos taken and stories created. Although Hulleys has since disappeared, Alex Clough takes you on a wonderful bus journey across the Peak District, showcasing the stunning scenery and highlighting the variety of vehicles that operated the routes. From Alfreton to Sheffield and Chesterfield to Castleton, this book shows just what it was like driving for a bus company that kept the Peak District connected.

Author is a bus driver and worked for Hulleys
