Jean-Marc DeMatteis is an American writer known for his emotional and philosophical approach to comics, particularly in the superhero and fantasy genres. Throughout his career, he has worked on iconic titles such as Spider-Man (1980-1981), Superman (various issues starting from 1987) and Moonshadow (1985), a cult work that explores existential themes through a lyrical and surrealistic approach.
