Synopsis "It's about Zen"

In the preface, Mr. Sienko begins with his own journey per say with Catholicism, Christianity and into Zen meditation/Buddhism. It sets the tone that resonates throughout the whole book, that this is for everyone, regardless of their spiritual practice. This is important and highlights the wisdom that "it" and "we" are really all One. He also states the book's intention up front: that you are perfect just as you are; you must take the first step on your spiritual journey; and no matter what spiritual path you choose keep persevering in your journey. It provides room, creates acceptance and gives encouragement. It's almost like he is scattering some important seeds up front, that will impact how the garden grows. In this beautifully written and easy to understand book, Mr. Sienko digs into what us humans spiritually wonder about and struggle with. It is written with a gentle and clear tone, constantly encouraging the reader in their spiritual pursuit. At the end of the book, The Four Noble Truths and ten Zen Precepts are also easy to understand and well written as well as his meditation advice, which to some Western people can be somewhat of an intimating practice.
