Synopsis "La Bipolaridad Como Don: Cómo Transformar La Inestabilidad Emocional En Una Bendición (in Spanish)"

A unique treatise on the nature and consequences of bipolar disorder, this book argues that if the emotional oscillations experienced by individuals with the disorder have come to be considered a disadvantage or a dysfunction, it is because medicine and psychology have treated them as such. The study--which examines the characteristics of bipolarity and its corresponding manic and depressive episodes in depth--holds that, rather than a brain disorder that can only be managed by chemical means, the condition is the result of undeveloped talents and can be cured by affirming and channeling those skills into appropriate outlets. Un tratado único sobre la naturaleza y las consecuencias del trastorno bipolar, este libro arguye que si las oscilaciones emocionales experimentadas por individuos con el trastorno han llegado a considerarse una desventaja o disfunción, es porque la medicina y la psicología las han considerado como tales. El estudio--el cual examina a fondo las características de la bipolaridad, la manía y la depresión--sostiene que, en vez de ser un desorden del cerebro que solamente se puede estabilizar por medios químicos, la condición es un resultado de talentos sin desarrollar y se puede curar por afirmar esos dones y canalizarlos en direcciones más apropiadas.

Eduardo Grecco was born in Argentina and currently resides in Mexico. A psychologist, he studied Psychoanalysis and attended seminars on Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology, Bioenergetics, and Emotional Reading of the Body. For over a decade, he has been recognized as an international master for his research and teaching in Floral Therapy. He was President of the Ibero-American Association of Floral Therapists. International Naturopathy Award Benedic Lust, 2002. Author of the books: Unexpected Deaths; Sexuality, Eroticism and Bonds of Love; Floral Therapy and Psychopathology; and Jung and Bach Flowers. 13 years ago, he incorporated research and patient care for bipolarity and wrote: Bipolarity as a Gift, Awakening the Bipolar Gift, Who Has Climbed into My Hammock?
