Synopsis "& Life Goes on "

Lizanne Dyer has spent many years fighting her demons—some of which she has conquered and others she continues to battle. Through introspective reflection and years of focusing on growing personally, Lizanne now realizes that her struggles have made her stronger and helped her accept herself for who she is without the need for external validation. In a poignant collection of poems that reflect on her path through life to date, Lizanne leads others through the five stages of grief in order to illustrate that when we stay the course and push through, no matter how difficult the struggle, there is peace and joy at the end of the journey. After explaining each stage, Lizanne shares poems that explore the emotions related to denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and eventually acceptance. Throughout her collection, Lizanne gently reminds all of us that it is okay to feel vulnerable—for it is in those moments that we are most human. & Life Goes On shares a volume of poems that provides a glimpse into one woman’s lyrical story as she freed herself from the bondage of depression and healed her heart.
