Der Augustiner-Chorherr Pius Parsch (1884-1954) trug mit seinem seelsorglichen und theologischen Wirken zum theologischen Aufbruch bei, der die erste Halfte des 20. Jahrhunderts pragte. Anlasslich des 50. Jahrestags der Liturgiekonstitution "Sacrosanctum Concilium" veranstaltete das Pius Parsch-Institut 2014 ein Symposion, das im vorliegenden Band dokumentiert wird. Er versammelt liturgiewissenschaftliche, philosophische, musikwissenschaftliche und historische Beitrage. Derzeit findet eine Relecture der Geschichte und Theologie der Liturgischen Bewegung statt durch Einbeziehung vernachlassigter Protagonisten, neuer Quellen sowie sozialer, politischer und kultureller Kontexte. Zu diesem Prozess tragt der neue Band der Pius Parsch-Studien bei.
