Andrew O'Hagan (born in 1968 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish novelist and essayist, known for his ability to intertwine fiction and non-fiction in his works. He has been nominated three times for the Booker Prize and has won the E.M. Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In 2003, he was selected as one of the Best of Young British Novelists by Granta magazine.

Among his most notable works are "Our Fathers" (1999), "Personality" (2003), and "Be Near Me" (2006), all novels that explore identity and human relationships. His novel "Mayflies" (2020) was awarded the Christopher Isherwood Prize and adapted into a BBC miniseries in 2022. His most recent work, "Caledonian Road" (2024), delves into corruption in contemporary London through a narrative reminiscent of Dickens and Zola.
