Synopsis "ME & THEM"

ME & THEM is a collection of poems about the voices that raise us, the voices that ruin us, and the one underneath that never stops.Written across active addiction, recovery, and the long work of self-recognition, these poems move through three territories: the noise, them, and the end of begin. They examine identity, addiction, memory, sexuality, and shame without softening any of it.This is not a book about arriving. It is a book about the middle - survival learning how to listen. For anyone who has been told they were too much, not enough, or wrong. For those learning to hear themselves after the noise.- Brandon Ellis Bynum., Chicago
