Synopsis "Meaningful Conflicts: The Art of Friction"

Featuring the work of over 27 award-winning writers, Meaningful Conflicts takes readers on a multi-genre ride through a universe of discord and disputes. In times of conflict, we write. Through that writing, we invite a catharsis to take place. This anthology was crafted, edited, and produced by the members of the Off Campus Writers' Workshop, one of the country's longest, continuously running writing workshops. Though headquartered in Winnetka, IL, OCWW serves a global membership of over 400 writers with their weekly Zooms and hybrid workshops (both in-person and livestreamed). Editors Peter Hoppock and Renee James re-teamed to oversee this creative endeavor after producing Turning Points (Windy City Publishers, 2021), OCWW's 75th Anniversary anthology. In considering the anthology's theme, James assures that, "All storytelling is conflict. If there is no conflict, there is no story, just a letter to Santa Claus."
