After their surgeries, Tom and Larry meet each therapy through physical therapy. The two healing patients strike an unusual friendship: both find themselves kindred spirits. The teens' changing situations open new doors for them. Together, they see sides of themselves that challenge their character and perspectives. Tyler begins to see that courage, endurance, and dreams make Larry more similar to him than different.
