Bastien Vivès (nacido en 1984 en París, Francia) es un autor, dibujante y guionista de cómics francés, considerado uno de los creadores más destacados de la nueva generación de la historieta franco-belga. Estudió en escuelas de arte de París, incluyendo la Escuela Superior de Artes Gráficas y Gobelins, donde se formó en dibujo y animación.

Debutó profesionalmente en la década de 2000 y alcanzó reconocimiento con novelas gráficas como El gusto del cloro (Le Goût du chlore, 2008), por la que recibió el Premio Revelación del Festival de Angulema, y Polina (2011), una de sus obras más celebradas. También es cocreador de la serie de manga francés Lastman, junto con Balak y Michaël Sanlaville, proyecto que obtuvo importantes reconocimientos.

Vivès destaca por un estilo de dibujo expresivo y minimalista, con especial atención a las emociones, las relaciones humanas y la vida cotidiana. Ha colaborado con Martin Quenehen como dibujante en Quatorze juillet y en la nueva serie de aventuras de Corto Maltese. A lo largo de su carrera ha recibido elogios por su innovación artística, aunque algunas de sus obras también han generado controversias públicas por su contenido.
